Educational Advisory BoardThe following is a list of experienced and passionate educators who have agreed to act as advisers on Lauer Learning projects. Heidi Davlinis in her 14th year of teaching, after spending 12 years teaching Kindergarten, and one year in each the first and fourth grade. Heidi has two Bachelor's degrees, one in Elementary Ed from USF Tampa and one in Early Childhood Development from St. Leos College. In addition, she has accumulated several credit hours towards her MS in Early Childhood Education, which she hopes to complete in the future. Heidi has two children. Kriszta Lauertaught special education at the kindergarten level for 5 years, and spent an additional 2 years at the 3rd grade level. She was also the Assistant Director and Director for a private child care/preschool for 3 years. Kriszta has a BS in Elementary Ed with Special Ed certification from Texas Christian University, and a MS in Early Childhood Development from Texas Womens University. Following a recent move to Florida, she intends to start teaching again this coming fall. Pat Ricerecently retired after 35+ years of teaching including special education for 30 years at the elementary level (k-6) and 5 more at the middle school level (her favorite!). She has a BS in Special Education from Marshall University and an MA in Learning Disabilities from Appalachian State University. Pat has two children, two step-children and two grandchildren. Future plans include authoring and illustrating children's books. Jenny Volchkobrings 28 years of experience in training program design, implementation and delivery to the Easton Area School District in Pennsylvania, where she is working as a counselor. In addition to providing counseling for students on social and educational issues, she also works with parent and teachers to help students achieve their full potential. Jenny recently worked to implement National Standards for the school counseling program. She has a Masters of Ed in Counseling and Educational Psychology from Slippery Rock University. Jenny has two children. Kier Woodhas taught for 5 years at the 1st grade level, and is certified in Gwinnett County, GA, to teach K-8. Kier has a BS in Elementary Ed from Auburn University and is currently studying for her MS in Foundations of Reading and Literacy from Walden University, which she plans to finish in March 2006. She is also involved in the "People to People" program, and will be escorting 5-6 grade student ambassadors to England and France this summer to learn about different cultures. |
